Many words describe David: Husband. Father. Grandparent. Pastor. Teacher. Author. Historian. David brings with him thirty-four years of pastoral experience. He is the lead and founding pastor of The Campus and has pastored this same church for twenty-six years. David draws from a lifetime of Bible study as well as extensive travel in biblical lands, studying the sites, people, and culture. He has recently published the book entitled, “Hitting the Wall: Finding Perspective When Life Stops Working.”
Phil McConnell
Administrative Pastor

Phil assumed his current position in Sept 2007 after serving as Administrator for 3 years and being actively involved in a variety of ministries since 1997. Phil had a successful business career in Information Systems. Phil and his wife Kaye have two children, Heather and Christopher, a daughter-in-law Julie and four grandchildren, Jessica, Riley, Wil and Cole. Phil enjoys gardening, tropical fish, golf, books and of course, theology.
Stephen Mason
Bathurst Campus Pastor

Stephen began his ministry at The Campus in 2000, after graduating from Tyndale Seminary. Stephen oversees the congregation at the Bathurst Campus and is actively involved in preaching, counselling and leadership development. He and his wife Wendy have four children, Rebekah, Jonathan, Anna and Elizabeth. His interests include sipping tea with his wife, reading stories to his children, antiquing, studying Greek and golfing.
Keith Sparrow

Keith Joined The Campus staff in September of 2008. He grew up in a very musical family and has been involved in musical ministry for as long as he can remember. Keith is also a trained piano technician and enjoys the challenge of restoring old pianos to their original beauty. His passion is to see people worship God in every aspect of their lives and to see the church join corporately to give God the praise He deserves. He and his wife Beth have three wonderful children, Rebecca, Daniel and Nathan. In the winter he loves to snowboard and in the summer he loves to play Golf.
Ian Ardill
Bayview Campus Pastor

Ian joined The Campus staff in July 2009. He graduated from Providence College & Seminary in 2005 and is currently a part time masters student at Tyndale Seminary. He and his wife Sarah had previously been ministering with Youth for Christ in Belleville, ON. As a campus pastor Ian oversees the congregation at the Bayview site and is actively involved in preaching, counselling, leadership development, and community outreach. Ian enjoys spending time with his family, wife Sarah and their two girls Mackenzie and Madison. Along side his family Ian enjoys running and alpine skiing.
Matt Hayden

Matt graduated from Heritage College and Seminary with his Bachelor of Religious Education in 2000. He has a loving and supportive wife Julie and an amazing son named Benjamin, and of course their friendly dog! He loves the outdoors, snowboarding and backpacking and many other activities. He has a passion for God, for Life, and of course for FUN!
Sherry Thiessen

Sherry joined The Campus staff in 2011 with over 20 years of children’s ministry experience. Her deepest desire is to see children come to know Christ as their Saviour at an early age and to grow steadily in their relationship with him! Sherry and her husband Wes have four children, Nathaniel, Hannah, Elise and Chloe. Her greatest joy is spending time with her family, and traveling to new and exciting places!
Alexis Mayo

Alexis worked in the administrative and marketing areas of the public sector for over twelve years before accepting her role at CBC in 2004. She co-ordinates the activities of the church office, supporting the pastoral staff, elders, the church congregation as necessary. Keeping accurate records, information flowing and on-time communication are key areas of her responsibilities. Alexis has two sons, James and Jack, and being English, inherently loves tea!
